not the new post I was planning

I have various wads of new stuff in the wings-- stuff about writing, and about morons, and about baseball, and about kids and about friends and the Net and all sorts of stuff, but right now I am exhausted from recent home renovation works and frankly just sick of the idiots online, so this post is what you get.

Blame global warming, which was invented by Al Gore anyway, and likely a result of that whole damned PMRC thing from the 80s. I still resent getting carded to buy an Ice T CD years back.

Bleh.

Getting carded is a good thing. It means you're defying the effects of age, pollution, stress, and exhaustion. Kids and baseball are keeping you young!

Idiot online

So this is what you've been up to recently, Brett.

I e-mailed you quite a time ago but never received a response.

So, still writing, coaching little league and working on the house, huh?

Nothing has changed much for me either.

Had any nice new ales lately?

NOEL!

You emailed me? When? No real alibi other than "it might have come in at some point when I was out of town and then returned to find hundreds of emails waiting," or maybe the spam filter improperly dumped it, or who knows. Apologies, no matter what.

Yeah-- much has changed, but more has stayed the same same. Had some fun positive development on the writing front, but as yet remain non-richified.

Maybe next week.

Ales... I am STILL working my way through a certain shipment of Belgian yumminess. Everytime I crack a bottle, I wake three months later with a beard and all the leaves on the trees changed. That stuff is liquid coma for me!

I have twice drifted (quietly) through... well, "that previous site where we knew each other" and always wonder whatever happened to that odd crowd. Yours is maybe the second or third out of the blue contact in the past three years. Strange days, indeed.

Your e-mail address no longer appears on Eps. Mine still does. I lost your address when my computer crashed a couple of years ago. if you feel like it, e-mail me so I can get your address again so we may resume lines of communication.

Best,

Noel

It won't make you feel any better, but I was carded at South Park: The Movie.
